You may want to consider the 2010 STI Sway Bar (20451FG020). It's 19mm. I just ordered one from myimportparts for $65. I since see subarupartsonline has it for $61.

Can anyone confirm that the 2010 19mm STi sway bar (20451FG020) comes with the required bushings?

In other words, I want to know that if I order that one part number, it comes with everything I would need to do the install -- I don't need to buy end links, nuts, bolts, grease, etc., right?

Thanks,

Elliot

I ordered mine with 2 bushings (20464FG020). They are rubber bushings so you don't need grease. That should be all you need. I can not confirm this until mine gets delivered but it is based on info here:
2010 STI sway bar question

I believe the more expensive bar ordered by others here is the 2009 18mm STI Bar (20451FG010).

The 20451FG020 is the 2010 19mm STI Bar.

Thanks all for everyone's responses. I finally caved and placed an order, after seeing basically 100% positive response from every single person that has upgraded their sway bar.

I've re-read through all of the related threads -- including this one, the RalliTek thread, and the Perrin thread -- and decided that the stock STi sway bar is good enough for me as everyone seems to be equally satisfied.

I almost went for the RalliTek because their rep posting here seemed very helpful and the group buy was a good deal, but in the end, the consensus seems to be that no one really NEEDS upgraded end links if all you're looking to do is improve your on-road everyday handling and don't expect to do any rallying or major off-road terrain.

Based on all of this information, I went with the 2010 19mm STi Spec C bars mentioned in earlier posts. I compiled about 10 different on-line websites to see who had the best prices and where they were located and to make sure they were real Subaru dealers.

I ended up going with SubaruOnlineParts.com | "Subaru Parts" & "Subaru Accessories" for your Subaru -- these guys are a small Subaru dealer in NY state and I found many posts via Google of satisfied customers. Since I live in Philly, this will also shorten my shipping time. I'll report back turnaround time and shipping time.

Mpnret above mentioned "subarupartsonline" and that's a bad link, I think he meant SubaruOnlineParts.com | "Subaru Parts" & "Subaru Accessories" for your Subaru because that was the price I paid-- $61.

So to summarize - for those that want to follow me and order the 19mm OEM STi bar -- this is what you need to order:

2010 STI Spec-C 19mm sway bar: 20451FG020 (I paid $61.55)
Bushings (order 2): 20464FG020 (I paid $5.51 x 2)

Shipping is estimated at $12, so my estimated total is less than $85!!!

And to think, I almost ordered a USED one off of eBay for $125!

Can't wait to install!!

Cheers,

Elliot

Oh yeah, I guess it would be good to point out that SubaruOnlineParts is also one of the main advertisers here at Subaruoutback. org . I guess if they weren't reputable, someone would've made a stink by now.

Would any one know the parts # for the endlink(s) assemblies as well? Thanks.

The 2009 bar is about the same price (<$70), not more. Folks are quoting delivered price inclusive of the 2 bushings. Seems a wash on parts price vs. shipping, My 2009 bar plus bushings netted out at $109 delivered.

It would be interesting to see if there is a real difference in ride for the 1mm size difference. I had the 2010 part numbers form another forum, but could not find a reference here on fit. Did not want to spend time seeing if it would fit or not. Folks seemed please with the 2009 bar and I presume I would not want too stiff since I did buy this vehicle for and enjoy taking it off-road too.
