why is outback reliability substantially worse than forester?
At least consumer reports seems to think so.
I can't post link as a new member but it is in
will you search the forum before typing your questions,
this has been covered before, like 3 x.
2019 forester = new firs t year on the global platform, refreshed engine.
2019 outback = last year of this type, last of this FB25, last of the 3.6,
2020 outback = new first year of the global platform, new FB25, new FA24 turbo.
consumer reports also uses user submitted data, = a straw pole and not scientific at all. (just based on what readers think.
so sometimes they put on the best used car lists, things that experienced subaru buyers would not buy,
and then they hate one year and like another, ...when the vehicles are the same ...= seen in 2006-2008 years).
