Gotta love a car that you can lock a 9-2 in. Despite having cameras and other swell prediction tools, I still like to take my 9-2, 8-0 and 6-8 with me, you know, just in case the swell shifts.

I'm thinking this size will be ok (2015 Outback 3.6) as the overall ratio doesn't change dramatically.... I'm no tire expert and I didn't stay at a Holiday Inn ???

Are these Hankooks studded? If yes, it's one of the best for ice and snow. If no, you might try Hakkapeliitta or Blizzak, but there won't be a significant improvement. I've got Hankook ipike without studs on Legacy and Blizzak on Outback. No difference on mud and snow, but on wet ice Blizzaks seem to be sticking better.
Regarding the size, no clue, never tried anything but stock 17".

Very cool. I am grabbing an Outback this week. Are you adding third-party racks or using the standard rack? I need to carry a standup paddleboard and am curious.
