Lets see the modded wagons

Just purchased an 04 H6 in titanium pearl and want to see some of exterior the modded wagons. What colors would go good with the pearl color, black rims, ect? Plus what performance mods do you recommend, sway bar, strut bar? Lets see those modded Soobies!

Well mine is stock, but I just got the rear windows tinted today 20% and I think it looks great with the color. Didn't get the fronts done yet, going to keep it legal for now.

That tint looks good. Is that what they stock tint the new ones from the factory? I had my last car tinted but since it was a sedan I had to have it removed. Figured I'd get it redone since it's legal on the wagons.

I'm pretty sure it's as close as you can get to factory. My girlfriends 09 forester was parked next to me and it's really close to her factory rear tint. You can sort of see it in the background. It's 20% Madico Charcool. I had it done by Lee Berbs at Applied Film Technologies.

Aside from looking pretty stock exterior wise (unless you happen to notice the 2" lift), he's about as modified as he can be without a full engine/drivetrain swap. The goal in the build was to keep him almost entirely stock looking, but for all **** to break loose when you throw him into a corner on a dirt road.

Soon though, things may change... and he may begin to look a little more... different...

MudRunner, I am really digging your car. What all mods do you have, any for performance? What you running to lift the wagon? and tire size?

There isn't really a hard and fast modlist... it changes frequently, but here's how he sits now.

-->Engine<---
-CCR EJ251 longblock
-Subaru OEM Oil Filters (hate them, but have to use them for engine warranty purposes)
-Shell Rotella T6 5W-40 synthetic
-NGK iridium plugs
-Ported, polished, painted intake manifold
-Full 3" intake setup (uses a modified stock airbox and ram-air duct)
-Airbox wrap
-Accel "Kool Blue" oiled cotton gauze air filter (for daily driving)
-Purolator PureOne air filter (for rally)
-Borla replica header, polished
-ThermoTec header wrap
-Stock catpipe (for everyday use... it's quiet)
-RandomTech catless track pipe (don't use it much... too loud for daily use, but sounds gorgeous and makes things a bit faster)
-Custom, full stainless 2.25" catback with a glasspack resonator and Magnaflow muffler
-STi GroupN engine mounts

-->Wheels/Tires<--
-Stock alloys shod with 225-60-16 General Altimax HP's (I'm probably the only person here who hates them)
-'03 Forester X 5-spoke steel wheels soon to be shod with either 235-60-16 Yoko A/T's or 225-width Winterforces

-->Suspension<--
-KYB GR-2 dampers all around
-Rear Setup: RalliTEK Rear Overload springs on Subtle Solutions 1" spacers
-Front Setup: Subaru OEM H6 Outback springs on Subtle Solutions 1" spacers
-RalliTEK Rear Sway
-RalliTEK Front Sway (sitting in my bedroom... will install later)

-->Brakes<--
-Full 2007 Forester XT brake conversion (11.4" front rotors)
-Axxis Ultimate Ceramic brake pads
-ABS Fuse Pull mod (in the winter only)

-->Stereo and Interior, Exterior misc<--
-Pioneer DEH-P6000UB
-'04 Forester XT leather shift knob
-Plasti-Dip shifter surround from silver to black (so much better looking)
-RoadBlockR sound deadening in the hatch floor/liftgate
-PolyFill stuffed in lift gate (incredible sound deadening)
-Custom fabbed aluminum light bar with Hella 500FF's wired into highbeam circuit
-GE Tungsram Gold Selective Yellow H1 low beam bulbs (pictured... they look normal for oncoming traffic but actually throw yellow light, really cool)
-GE TGSY fog bulbs (like above)
-Custom 1/8" aluminum skidplate (plans soon for 1/4")
-Primitive Racing rear diff skid
-Thule Crossbars
-Thule 599XTR Bike Rack
-Rola Roof Basket

Coming soon:
-OEM rear dust deflector
-WRX STi Seats
-More RoadBlockR
-Possibly.... Built EJ251 (summer project since I have one sitting in my garage)
-PerfectPower6 Piggyback ECU

There's a lot more than that, I know... I just can't think of it all. I'm slowing things down a lot and starting to set money aside though, as I plan to swap him in the next few years with a full STI engine and drivetrain and make him... well... fast. I've built him to be an incredible multipurpose vehicle... he can hang on twisty dirt roads with my friend's 2010 WRX, but at the same time, makes an awesome cross-country touring vehicle (just needs STi seats and some more sound deadening to make him perfect). The 4EAT is my only gripe, I hate the thing... but it will be replaced eventually. This is a 4000lb (loaded) car that can keep up with a WRX (driven by a rallycross guru) in the dirt, that is also perfectly happy chugging along at 80mph on the freeway listening to Beethoven. It's a really cool combination.
