Poor Experience at Subarupartswarehouse.com

Has anyone else recently had a poor experience with Subarupartswarehouse.com aka Premier Subaru in Connecticut? I have read all the good reviews about them & their pricing is very reasonable as well which is why I wanted to order from them. I have a $500 Subaru Coupon good towards parts and service that I wanted to use with them. I placed my order on 9/12 and today marks 18 working days that my order had been with them. I still have no parts & their communication is terrible. First off, I had to email them the coupon numerous times because each time, they "never received it". That was one week wasted going back and forth with emails. Secondly, their lack of communication is poor. On 9/22, I got an email from them stating they still have not received the coupon & that my order will be cancelled if they do not hear back from me... I then had to call in and verify with someone on the phone to tell them I have been sending numerous emails with the coupon attached. They supposedly were able to find it and stated they had the parts in stock and I was assured by them that I will get email updates on the status of the order after 9/22. It is now 10/6, no emails, no order status and no parts delivered to my door. The person(s) I did speak to when I called were professional and seemed nice although this does not make up for the lack of communication on their end. It also seems like no one knows that they are doing there, at least with this $500 coupon I have. Thirdly, they even charged the Credit Card I left on file with them. They charged the full cost of the parts and did not deduct the $500 coupon I have. I did not authorize this, I only authorized to them to charge my card for any overages that the coupon will not cover. Once again, no communication on this from their end. Lastly, I just cancelled the order via email and disputed the CC charge as I have been way to patient with them on this ordeal. They do not even have the decency to apologize & respond to my last email to them about cancelling the order. UPDATE: They sent me an email with a refund statement of the $500 they charged me but with No explanation & no apology. UPDATE #2: I got an email stating my order has shipped? Beware of this establishment. Now hopefully, if you do choose to do business with this place, that you get a much better experience than I have received

moved to the parts section,

as subarupartswarehouse is not a advertising vendor on this forum.

I have had good luck with them when I have ordered things in the past, including on returns past 30 days. I was not using a coupon though.
just their big 30-32% off sales.

I have also had good luck buying from subaruonlineparts = one of the advertising vendors here (of Hicksville, NY...= grand prix?),...heuberger of colorado is also a advertising vender here. (the biggest subaru dealer in the universe).

I have bought and looked up a lot of #s on quirkparts of quincy mass. (which is also a subaru dealership, and many other brands...so that must be some BIG chain in eastern mass)...

I have also bought parts from subaru dealers with amazon portals where they are all competing.

I gave up on the local parts counters for price,...years ago. (straight MSRP does not make me want to buy, with or without the 2-3hour round trip)

____

one thing that does stick out,...things that are not regular maint. inventory do have to come from a regional warehouse to whatever dealer you are buying from before they ship it out to you. (this can take anywhere from 2 days to 2 weeks,...and no one ever knows when that happens ).

they have a thread here offering free freight with a code, but

watch the local NYS sales tax,

such might make quirk more attractive although they charge freight.

Subaruonline parts is the only place I've ever ordered from and I've never had a problem.

In fact, I had ordered some brake pads way in advance for my 2014 and ended up trading it in for a 2016 before I needed them. The pads wouldn't fit my new car so I figured I would be stuck with this stuff, but they were nice enough to let me return the pads well out of the return period.

Can't beat that.

I have made several orders with Subaru Parts Warehouse without any trouble (though as with others, I wasn't using a coupon). They used to offer some pretty good discount codes, including free shipping, but they seem to be harder to come by now unless you're ordering at least $150 in parts. I haven't had much experience with the other vendors mentioned above, but I'm at least hoping that yours was an isolated experience (though no less frustrating for you).
