west_minist If he has help, one can pour in as the old oil comes out.

Let the pan hold like 3liters or so.

I don't see these hoses in the diagrams so I assume that the hose that goes to the center of the filter is the pressure line and the other is the return???
basically what I want to do is the same of this video

Unless something really bad has happened, like you found metal on the drain plug or your transmission cooler blew a hole into the radiator (how do I know about this possibility you ask?) you shouldn't need to change the filter. It's a "lifetime of the car" filter. Change it if you like but it will be messy.

As for flushing, I disconnected the return side line off the transmission cooler and stuck it into a pan and started the car for a minute, shifting through P-N-R-D1-D2(in manual mode) and watched that the pan wasn't about to over flow. I'd then shut off the car, reconnect the return line, dump the fluid, and put new fluid into the transmission. Then I started the car again, shifted through what gears I could for a minute, idle a bit, shut the car off, unhook the return line and stick it in the pan again.

I repeated this process until I put twice what the transmission holds through it.

west_minist Ok. Just becareful not to let all the fluid run out while flushing.

Whatever the case, I'm pretty sure that the 5EAT learns over time. If there is some behavior you don't care for, it *might* be resolved by having the memory reset.
Well the one that I had been looking at and was planning to see the following weekend had been sold a day before I was going to look at it but since then Ive been doing even more looking and I found one thats 400 bucks more and a better color imo (white on gray) with a great value so with any luck ill be going to look at it this weekend.

And I thought the shifting was "fine" before your magic!

Before tuning my car it was an effort to get the torque converter to lock up in in-city driving with the hilly terrain where I am. Now it's down right easy!

I knew everything would be better before tuning but now I know just how much better better can be and is.

^Ed kills it at tunes, in the process of getting my OBXT all modded up to be working well, and the slight trans changes make a world of difference!

It won't take that long! It's not like you're doing anything!

Oh, wait, that's what wives say....

I still shiver at the thought of putting the stock ROM back on the car.... I took pity on a Sunfire today. I was about to slam the car into manual mode just before a light turned green and I heard his car shaking from the enormous sub the guy had and I took my hand off the shifter and let him go unembarrassed
