qanadin I had this same thing on my 2016 3.6R. I noticed it shortly have I bought it. I bought mine used at 22k. When I brought it in that was the first thing they said it would be. Low and behold it was. They made the fix and it instantly went away. And yeah, it really sounded like a bushing or something was loose in the wheel well.

rldoutback I am having similar sounding issue, 2018 Outback. They replaced rack and pinion steering; replaced air bag. Problem persists.

jmm3807 Question: I feel like I have this going on. When I go slow over large bumps, that makes the front suspension drop freely, it seems like something is loose. It’s a rattle I can feel in the car and somewhat in the steering wheel. I was thinking strut mount... but maybe it’s this.

Mine was present in straight line. Didn't notice in turning.

Almost felt and sounded like a bushing was missing. Most noticable on brick pavers (like the service drive) or slightly bumpy pavement.

You will feel it more than anything.

I think this issue also affects the older cars. I don't think owners of the oler cars pushed dealers hard enough back then. All you new owners are a lot more assertive.
