  1. Post pics of YOUR 5th Gen Outback

    Gen 5: 2015-2019
Will do in the next couple of days when I get a chance. The bike carrier is a Mototote MTX 3 I believe. It's rated for somewhere around 300-350lb bike and is a 2"receiver attachment. The hitch is a hidden hitch which is rated for a 600lb tongue capacity and of course is a 2"receiver. The long...

Got my hitch installed on my Wilderness Green Premium 2.5. Did a trial run with my dirt bike as I needed to get it cleaned up so I can get it ready for riding season as hopefully the weather is going to break here soon. It's been a long late winter. Everything works great and I can't even feel...
  3. Forester to Outback

    Gen 5: 2015-2019
Just traded in our '14 Forester 2.5i touring in on a '15 Outback 2.5 Limited so here's my take on the two. We put just a tad over 15k on the Forester and it was flawless mechanically and otherwise. Short comings in comparison to the Outback are ride quality/comfort,interior noise,backup...
  4. Any people with no problems?

2013 Limited with moonroof just turned one year old & has 13,700 miles & has been flawless. Still rides like new.
  5. Looking at replacing my 2004 with a 2009...what should I be paying?

    General Discussions
I bought an '07 LLBean with 51k miles H6 about two months ago that was a CPO and was is in excellent condition and I paid $18,400 and they wouldn't budge. I have to say I'm really glad I pulled the trigger as I love it and without getting into the whole 4cyl/6cyl deal I'll just say that I...

There's a nice one owner at cherry hill subaru listed for $5995.00. It's an '01 LL Bean H6 with 159k. I saw it when I bought our new '13 and it was very clean looking in and out and they've had it for well over a month so I'm sure they are probably flexible on that pricing. Either way I'm sure...

  9. '05 2.5L outback cooling flush question

    Gen 3: 2005-2009
Going to change the radiator fluid in my '05 outback 2.5L and just wondering as I don't have access to my manual at the moment on how many gallons of anti-freeze I need. Is one gallon with the subaru radiator additive enough? Going to use the Subaru stuff and was going to order it online later...
  10. 2005 Outback XT 5MT -- keeper or pass it on?

    Gen 3: 2005-2009
Sounds to me like you're over thinking things a bit. Any used car can puke it's guts but sounds like you've given it a good look and addressed what needed addressing and I wouldn't let the possibility of an engine failure drive you nuts unless there is reason(noise, glitch etc)to be worried...

  12. Trailer wiring on 07 LL Bean outback

    Gen 3: 2005-2009
Got to wire my 07 LL Bean for a trailer and just looking to confirm where the wiring is on it. I think it is suppose to be behind the passenger side right rear quarter panel tucked deep in the frame. Can anyone confirm this before I start ripping the rear cargo area apart? Thanks for any heads up.

Subaru is far from fault just as any brand but it's ads like these that shows that they must be doing something right as you see an awful lot of high mileage outbacks that are still ticking such as this one. Subaru Legacy Outback Limited
  14. Test drove an '07 OBW today, a few questions:

    Gen 3: 2005-2009
As far as pricing goes that's always subject to area, specs etc but in my area(NJ)that would be very fairly priced from a dealership for a 65k 2.5l in good shape. Dealers obviously are always higher then a private party but I would think even so if you found something private party like it that...

By all means go back and see what they say. It's not a super costly fix so I would guess they would do the fix to keep a happy customer as word of mouth is the best advertising.
