  3. Key reprogramming

    Gen 5: 2015-2019
I have a leftover key from my 2015 Outback that has never been used. Does anyone know if it can be reprogrammed? I ask because it would be cool to sell it for a few bucks.
  4. Interested in a N/A 3rd Gen as first car. Worried about reliability.

    Gen 3: 2005-2009
where are you located? There are local forums all over the place and most have very competent and friendly people who will help get that headgasket and timing belt job done for the cost of parts and a 6 pack. There is no such thing as a car that won't need repairs or money put into it. Rust...

    Gen 3: 2005-2009

I just got to this today. IT WAS THE NUT!!! Just as you suggested @kingpinXT2005. I had to take the rear hatch panels off, but once I was able to get to it I was able to tighten it about 8 turns. I couldn't believe it loosened up like that. All fixed now, rattle is gone. Thank you very...
  10. Rear strut mount problems

    Gen 3: 2005-2009
It's like a rattle type of sound. Hard to describe. I'll post a video when I can. I'm not changing it until spring. I don't work on cars when it's cold and snowy unless absolutely necessary.
  11. Rear strut mount problems

    Gen 3: 2005-2009
Yeah everything fit fine and aligned correctly. Once it gets warm and dry I'll try the spin method to see if that helps. When I took the first noisy new mount off there wasn't any obvious defect.
  12. Rear strut mount problems

    Gen 3: 2005-2009
Just a few months ago I replaced my rear struts with 2004 KYBs and Rallitek springs. I also replaced the rear strut mounts with new KYB mounts. After 2 weeks the driver side mount got noisy and I swapped it out for a new one. Now, 4 months later the passenger side mount is noisy. I don't...
