  1. 2020 Subaru Outback Owners feedback thread

    Gen 6: 2020-Future
Can confirm Google play music works well in AA.
  2. Sport Grille

    Gen 6: 2020-Future
Looks good! I wonder if they paint the chrome black for Onyx factory orders.
  3. Outback 2020 and Ipod

    Gen 6: 2020-Future
One reason for me. Convenience. 1. While in the car, I am not looking for an audiophile quality experience (and this is not the car/speakers for it). I am looking for the shortest way to enjoy some music and break up the boredom of the drive. 2. Messing around with cables and worse, the phone...
  4. Start up RPM high

    Gen 6: 2020-Future
This is what it looks like on my current car:
  5. Start up RPM high

    Gen 6: 2020-Future
This is where the light originally was on my 2009 Impreza (#7 in the manual below). The engine over heating light which is red when the engine overheated, would be blue when the engine was not warm enough. On my car, this was when the coolant was below 50C. Once the coolant is above 50C, the...
  6. Outback 2020 and Ipod

    Gen 6: 2020-Future
Unfortunately, I don't have my car yet to test that. I will update as soon as I get my car.

You should be able to just copy the files over. The thing I will advice is, make sure your ID3 tags are good on the files. It will make your life easier trying to search for music from the infotainment system.
  8. First oil change on turbo models

    Gen 6: 2020-Future
Ha, I used to hang around BITOG a lot back in the day.
  9. Heads-up display - Does it show MPH? What about speed limit?

    Gen 6: 2020-Future
That's very interesting! Thank you for the detailed explanation :)
  10. Heads-up display - Does it show MPH? What about speed limit?

    Gen 6: 2020-Future
I am curious and not being insensitive, but how do you tell the difference between traffic lights? By the position of lit lights?
  11. Wireless Phone Charger

    Gen 6: 2020-Future
I also got the wireless charger (at invoice price -2% as part of the VIP program). I intend to use it on shorter trips and on my commute to top off the phone.

    Gen 6: 2020-Future
If you go the USB route, you will do all playback controls from the infotainment screen itself. I vastly prefer USB/Bluetooth to attaching the iPod to my car. I don't want to mess around with a phone like device while driving. The only issue would be to get your music off of the ipod and on to...
  13. Floormats

    Gen 6: 2020-Future
I'm patiently waiting for Weathertech to come out with theirs.
  14. Passed on my 2020 Touring XT

    Gen 6: 2020-Future
I always tell people. Don't look at monthly payments at all. Only look at the out the door price (Car price + tax/title + doc fees + any other charges).\ That way, it is easier ti not fall into the trap of financing for more time (thus paying more in interest) while keeping the monthly note the...
  15. First oil change on turbo models

    Gen 6: 2020-Future
Sometimes the filter does not catch all of the metal shavings. Sometimes they are in suspended in the oil. Any way, it's one oil change, a tiny price for peace of mind.
  16. Outback 2020 and Ipod

    Gen 6: 2020-Future
So looking at the manual linked below (on page 177) The 5th gen nano is not supported. But the touch 6th gen is: https://cdn.subarunet.com/stis/doc/ownerManual/MSA5M2011A_STIS-OPT.pdf
  17. Comparison of dirt hiding ability - green, blue, grey

    Gen 6: 2020-Future
Exactly the reason I did not get blue. It looked like blue was close to black in terms of dust hiding ability. The green gets the khaki share with more dust.
  18. Outback 2020 and Ipod

    Gen 6: 2020-Future
    Which iopd do you have?
  19. Heads-up display - Does it show MPH? What about speed limit?

    Gen 6: 2020-Future
I was speaking about the heads up display, not the screen between the gauges. The one that is on the windshield and dashboard seam. The first one, not the second one.
  20. Heads-up display - Does it show MPH? What about speed limit?

    Gen 6: 2020-Future
Nope, the HUD is only for safety warnings. The speed limit is still in the center screen in the instrument cluster.
