  1. Problems & DIY Maintenance
Hope this is posted to the right place. The car is a 98 legacy outback with approx 210k. Did the engine swap with a 2.2 95 Impreza motor not sure the mileage on the motor. Motor runs good. So my issue is with the fuel pump I do believe. Drove it to the grocery store late one night and came out...

Anyone have any info/feedback on decent quality Aftermarket Wheel Arch Moldings? OEM is just absurdly overpriced for me and I’ve had trouble trying to find a deal on them as a kit or separate parts. Any and all information is appreciated. Thanks!
  3. Lighting, Electrical & Electronics
If I change my radio head and DONT use a OEM unit, but get an aftermarket radio head, will I loose the ability to access the vehicle settings menu (like how the car auto-unlocks and auto-locks happen)?
  4. Lighting, Electrical & Electronics
Took my Outback into the dealership today and I've recently passed 180k miles, so I have a good long list of suggested items to have done for preventative/routine maintenance. One thing that really stuck out is my passenger side headlight assembly is quite yellow/foggy. I had it buffed out a...

Hi there! I replaced the stock receiver in my 2016 Subaru Outback Premium 2.5 with a nicer Sony system. First, I bought all items recommended by Crutchfield, but noticed later on that not all of them were needed. Parts Metra 40-LX11 Antenna Adapter Metra 70-1761 Receiver Wiring Harness Axxess...

CSF3310 part spec claims it has a .94" core thickness. I ordered one and the core is 0.63 inch thickness, which is the spec for the 4 cyl engine. Is CSF lying about their spec? Other than that at least the top cap looks right for this car (2003 Outback LLBean H6).

I've done a bit of digging and the deeper I get the less clear this becomes. I recently started looking for a replacement for my GPS/stereo system. As Subaru no longer offers map updates for this model anymore the current system is obviously pretty pointless. The problem, as I'm sure most of you...

So it’s no surprise that aftermarket part support is limited. However the outback is one of the most popular Subaru models sold… I remember my last car forum had some movers and shakers that worked with brands to secure orders for particular parts. I tried searching (maybe not hard enough) but...
  9. Performance Parts & Accessories
Hey everyone, First post here & I apologize if this has been posted already but I can’t seem to find an up-to-date forum about this topic. I recently bought my first Subaru & it’s a 2000 Outback Limited 5-speed. So far I’m digging it. Anyways, what aftermarket parts (header, brakes, cosmetics...

2010 Outback v6 (HK speakers with power amp). I switched out the stock headunit with a Pioneer DEH-S6220BS. There is no sound from the front speakers. Fade is set to balance, but even when I turn it all the way to the front, there's no sound from the front speakers. The back are fine. Any...

Hiya, New to the forum. Great content here. Bought a 17' Limited OB in October of last year. Love the car at every aspect even the HK system. However, the lack of Apple Car Play, is a bit sad. I could have bought a newer OB, but I wanted to save a little bit of cash. Previously owned cars I was...

I've been searching endlessly around the web for an aftermarket exhaust for my outback. No matter how hard I search, it just seems to be that no one makes any. I stumbled across one exhaust however and it may not be a direct fit but I think I can make it work. Wondering if I'm crazy or if it may...

I thought I would do a write-up about my experience in upgrading the audio system in my 2014 Outback Limited. First, I replaced the stock radio with a Pioneer DMH-C2550NEX. I am very pleased with this model, but if I had the money, I think I would look for one with wireless android auto. It...

Hi all, I had a wonderful outback in college and now that we're about to have our first kid I'm ready to get back in the outback game. We've done some local shopping/test drives and while I love the power of the turbo and the external styling of the black onyx, I really dislike the upholstery. I...

So- I'm a college kid and after a long, sparkly-eyed search of all the subarus I could ever dream of owning, I found that I could inherit my family's 2012 3.6R HK Bluetooth No-nav Outback with 111k miles and a flawless service record. We've had it for years and it was one of the cars I had...

Hi all, My gf, has a 2017 Subaru Outback Limited, with 2.5L (the 4 cylinder), with CVT. Recently our battery died, and we're tired of the crappy group 25 battery that needs replacing nearly every 2 years. I looked online, and there's a Group 24F that appears size wise the PERFECT battery! It's...
  17. Gen 4: 2010-2014
I have a 2012 Outback without Nav built in with the single din OEM radio. Wanted to upgrade to a double din touchscreen headunit (with Apple CarPlay preferred but not necessary) but don't know which to get or if I am able to :p Just asking for recommendations or a push in the right direction! :)...
