  2. Trip / Fuel Mileage Reports
It seems the mpg sweet spot for my XT is 45-50mph. The above was from Marathon Key to Key West. Nearly no traffic lights or stopping with steady speeds. This one below is from Tallahassee to St. Petersburg yesterday. Top speed at 70 with plenty of stop and go.

Hi all, I have been searching and searching for months for a nice 2009 OB, preferably 3.0 or an XT, under 100k miles. Is it an unrealistic goal nowadays? I love the looks and the color (blue or green) of the 3rd gen. It would be my first OB and I am wondering if I could possibly find one here...
  4. Gen 6: 2020-Future
I tried to search to see if anyone else had experienced this issue, but didn't find anything. If this has been discussed before I would appreciate being pointed in that direction. So this is an odd one to try and describe. On two separate occasions I have started my 2020 XT like every other...

Current photo: After several months of searching, I found my low mileage manual unicorn over 1,000 miles and two states away in August 2020, and it happened to be a rare turbo. I finally took possession of my wagon with only 76k miles and bone stock in September (a long crazy story, will share...

I am looking for at a new Outback, as the one I currently drive has just turned 10 years old. We are keeping it in the family, but it is time for an upgrade. I just test drove the Limited, the did not have any Limited XTs on the the lot. I am considering upgrading to the XT, but I am not sure...

INTRODUCTION: This is to chronicle the restoration activities to get my 2005 XT back on the road. I am starting this mid-project but I will start from the beginning to better explain start to finish all I have done. I like to take quite a few pictures if I have clean hands or a helper to snap...

Hello from Seattle! I’m picking up a 2005 Outback XT in silver on Monday. I have owned/co-owned around 7 Subarus in the last 10 years including 3 first gen Impreza sedans, 2 first gen OBS, a 14 XV and a 2nd gen legacy for a short time. Currently I have my 99 Impreza “WRX” with a EJ20 JDM swap...
  10. Gen 6: 2020-Future
Anyone have thoughts on the exhaust options for the 2.4 XT? I've been considering a Nameless exhaust but it’s nearly impossible to tell the true sound & decibel difference between the 3 different setups in the vendor video. LP Adventure also has an axle back exhaust, but I'd venture to say...
  11. Oil, Oil Filters, and Fuel Discussion
So I bought a 2020 Subaru Onyx XT. Still have a half tank of gas, but going to a fill up probably this weekend. Just wondering about people thoughts on using premium versus regular unleaded gasoline. What about mid-grade? I know there are benefits to using premium gas.

Hello I have a 2007 outback xt that now has a rod knock. I’m pretty new to the Subaru world and want to get some good information and Learn about these cars I love. It has an ej255 in it I’ve looked up rebuild kits and there’s a couple from cleggs that seem fairly strait forward and a lot...

Is there an online list of all 2020 Touring XT light bulbs' specs, detailing [1] the bulb spec, [2] whether it is replaceable or not and [3] whether the stock / OEM is already LED or incandescent ? I know there is a partial / subset list in the owner's manual but it is far from complete.

It would be nice to have a Boost Gauge somewhere on that big 11.6" display. Like where it reads out the customizable stuff like Accelerator position, oil temp and coolant temp. What PSI boost is this thing running at anyway? Then I could forget i'm a old dad driving a wagon and pretend i'm 18 in...

I know, I know another gas octane post, but I just got my car tonight, so bare with me. I have the new 2020 Outback Limited XT. In Colorado the lower octane level is 85, not sure why. The manual says to use 87 octane gas. My whole life I have used 85 octane. Do I really need to use 87 octane...
