What will be the 0-60 MPH time for 2.4 Turbo Boxer Engine? Closest to the pin wins when Subaru officially releases the data.

6.9. What publication will be the official authority? Is the reward just glory? Motor Trend had the 3.6 @ 6.9 so I would imagine Subaru would be shooting for this. The heavier Ascent does the 1/4 mile in 15.2 according to Motor Trend, and they also have the '18 3.6 Outback at 15.2. Maybe their radar gun is stuck. :)

Frankly I have no idea of the new Turbo Outback's 0-60 time. But, I imagine the time is somewhere in between that of my wife's Toyota Prius and my Corvette ZR1. Regardless of the knowing the time, I am sure the new Outback will meet my performance needs when I replace my beloved but aging 2013 Outback 3.6.

It will probably be as fast to 60 as the '15-'19s with the 3.6R. So 7 seconds flat I'm guessing.

2020 Legacy is at 6.1 for the 2.4T version, so I'd imagine 6.5-6.8
Subaru has been quoted to estimate the Legacy XT to be 6.1s. A quick search of real-world tests from Car & Driver will show that the Legacy 3.6R and Outback 3.6R achieves exactly the same 0 to 60 times. This makes me believe that we are looking at 6.1s for the Outback XT as well.

Now the real question is how conservative Subaru's estimate is, and is it possible to achieve sub 6-second times? To me, 5.9s would be plenty of zip for a vehicle of this class. For comparison, BMW X3 does 6.4s, Audi Q5 does 5.9s, BMW X3 M40 does 4.8s. No other Japanese CUV/SUV can do sub 6-second times (even with 310 ft-lb, the CX-5 can only do 6.4s)
