Well after wading through the mangled translation, looks like the Russion comparison between the Audi Allroad, 2005 Outback, and the Volvo XC70 they felt the Allroad was still the best. Outback came a lot closer than last year though, and it is at least 1/2 the price...

They were not comparing the XT which might make for a more interesting comparison.

If anyone finds a better translation or an English version please post!

Can you figure those out? Looks like they're running them up to redline in each gear, and showing that speed. Seems the Subaru is geared shorter in 5th, but if I'm reading that right it will beat the Audi in 1st.

I don't quite understand why the Volvo graph ends so differently; it seems like it's governed to not go over 4500 in 5th. And I don't know why the Audi and Volvo graphs have a green zone while the Subaru has only a green line.

It seems like the Outback is geared longer than the Audi or the Volvo?

IMO the 5th is overdrive.. so dont think it will spin up to the engine redline? Looks like the gearing graph u get in Gran Turismo. :D
