It happened when i was making a right turn from a stop sign and all I got was a lunch forward and a loud bang and some metallic sounds.. I had no more forward drive but a little reverse but that soon went out and so now moving from P R N D you can't tell the difference between them.. the only thing a little different is in sport shift from 1 -2 2 has a lightly louder sound.

Here is a video I did sorry it's so short it seems to be coming from the rear half of the transmission like the tail cap area.

Ouch, that's a drag!

The guys at LegacyGT.com discovered that the needle bearings in the center differential (located in the rear of the transmission) were a weak point, susceptible to breaking during high torque launches with their boosted high-HP cars.



#4 in this diagram.

Hexmods used to sell a tougher bushing to replace that needle bearing, dunno if they still do.
