Hi all,
I'm new here, so if there's somewhere on the site that I should've found an answer to this question, please let me know. I'm the proud new owner of a 2005 2.5i Limited (5 speed) in great condition. I noticed that the later Limiteds came with 17" wheels. The '05 has 16s. Can I upgrade to 17s off the 07s/08s without issue? If so, any recommendations on wheels? I'd be perfectly happy with OEM 17s from a later car, but am also open to tasteful aftermarket.
Thanks!

You can. Any 17" Subaru wheel with the 5x100 bolt pattern (basically: not a WRX STI or Tribeca) will fit just fine.

Thanks. When you say "any" does that include the 2010-2013 17s? Not sure I'd want them, just asking. Thanks again.

Yup. Bolt pattern has stayed the same as far as I know.

Thanks, I was mostly thinking about offset. In any case, I'd be happy with finding someone with an XT upgrading their 17s to 18s and selling their old 17s. I think the car looks just fine with the 16s, but the 17s add a nice touch.

The offsets will vary slightly, but should not be enough to cause any issues.

Or XT owners upgrading their 17s to 16 inch off road rubber....... I think the XT looks fine with 17s, but the 16s add a nicer touch ;)
