got some big plans coming up.... nearly tore off my stock bumper the other day trying to make a steep hill climb, oil pan took a hit to. body pins were shooting in every direction as i peeled it from my stock bumper beam. one of those moments you and your friends cant help but laugh at your stupidity...
anywho, plans for a custom fabricated front bumper with lots of possibility for aux light mounting, a snorkle now that the air intake is so easily accessible, and a skid plate for the front dif and oil pan.
pics to come, already sliced off the stock splash guards, looks mean with the tires showing from the front end.:29:

Nevada has tons of mountains and trails , Wish i had some more time to go explore , Sadly summer is here and its a little hot to be out playing :28: .... Currently searching leads on lifting the outback and making a front bumper for it :29: . So once the bumpers and some off road lights are on i can do some more exploring when the dead heat of the sun isnt about .... and theres just something about off roading at night that i love :D

I live here in Vegas have you ever taken your Subaru down by nelson Nevada? particularly Aztec Wash Trail or Fire Mountain Cove? if so how did it fair? and what year and engine is your outback? ive got a 99 2.5 h4 i want to upgrade a bit and yours seems very capable, have you noticed any problems going up in tire diameter do you have a lift?

As you probably know, a bigger heavier tire saps power both because of rotational mass and increased diameter (decreases torque at the road). As for how much - it all depends. If you had a big engine that had more than enough power, it may not be significant, but if you have an engine that you feel is just barely adequate for your needs, then you might notice the loss of acceleration.

Sometimes people actually get smaller diameter tires to increase torque, but that's not typical for off-roading where everyone seems to automatically go for bigger tires.
