throttlebody/seafoam treatment may be in order. There's a seafoam spray with a U-turn nozzle that should clean up any sticky gunk at the iacv and then , of course, further along in the intake. maybe put half a can or so in a full tank too.
If the sparkplug wires are old/original, they may need to be changed. You can try spritzing some water from a spray bottle on the high voltage suff at night and monitor for arcing and engine misses. Get OEM or DEnso wires - cheap wires will not work. Also, oil leaking into the plug tubes has caused problems on some cars. At 200K valvecover gaskets could certainly be leaking.
all the suspension and steering gear should be inspected - including steering rack bushings and lower control arm/transverse link bushings.
Seems like you're on the right track for the torque bind but, if clunking persists, inspect the u-joints/carrier bearing on the driveshaft.
