I have an automatic 2003 Outback Wagon with 141,800 miles. I went around a corner last week and a horrible grinding noise started coming from the front end. My brake pedal also started vibrating badly, almost like ABS was engaged. The noise only occurs when the car is in "drive" or "reverse" and a vibration can also be felt in the shifter. I popped the hood and the entire engine literally bounces up and down when the car is in gear.
I towed it to my family mechanic, but he's been silent so far which really worries me...Any ideas as to what might be going on or information anyone can provide would be greatly appreciated.
