Just bought a 06 outback with 136k miles. It doesn't turn over all all even though the starter tries. Pulled out the starter and checked. Removed all the belts and timing belt.

Tried to turn the engine by hand, but the crankshaft doesn't move at all. Took the timing belt off, all pulleys are fine. With the starter off and timing belt off the crankshaft doesn't turn at all still. I mean it doesn't spin even 1mm using a socket on the crankshaft pulley.

My guess is that the crankshaft has seized. What do you guys think?

Anything else I should try?

What are my options on replacement? I am trying to avoid a rebuild.

Thank you for your responses in advance.
