I've never heard of someone doing this, but it seems like you've done your homework. It would only make sense that the shrouds are different to compensate for the bigger radiator.
I would suggest going to legacygt.com and lurking around too. They can probably fill you in on any differences with the turbo setup.
Also, I'd add a transmission cooler too. It seems as though that is the weak point on Subarus when towing.
