I was just informed by the dealership when taking my car in for the 60K check-up that I have 2 oil leaks! 2008 2.5 Subaru outback - 1 spark plug tube seals, and head gaskets.

Needless to say, I am very upset. I have always kept up with regular maintenance on my car. This is my 4th subaru & have always stood by the product until now.

Ouch! That's definitely premature for the spark plug tube seals to go out, but the head gaskets are a whole 'nother story! Sucks. Good luck.

If you're at or just under the 60k miles, both will/should be covered by warranty. Even if it's just above the 60k, I would think it would be as well, especially if this is your fourth Subaru and you have good maintenance records.

Check it out with the dealer, and if necessary, Subaru of America.

Head gasket leaks in the 2005-9 are not unheard of; there's plenty of reports discussed here (http://www.subaruoutback.org/forums/88-head-gasket-issues/), and many are listed in: http://www.subaruoutback.org/forums...discussion-log-only.html?highlight=discussion
