Hello...I have to replce my ignition coil, The oart is about $235 from the dealer. Online sites show prices ranging from about $55 - $135 but they also show 2 different styles of ignition coils. One has a cone shape on the end and is called a direct ignition coil, the other is a small "box shaped" device...just called an ignition coil. Which one do I need or will either one do the trick? Thanks.

I suspect you're looking at coils for different years or different engines.

Whatever it is you need should match what's there now. What does your car have? If the car has the normally-aspirated 2.5 engine, I suspect it looks something like the diagram here: http://subarupartsforyou.com/cp_partdetail.php?partid=10208
Hi...yes, that's what I have...a nornally aspirated 2.5L flat 4. Thanks for the information. Much appreciated.
