Hey guys...first post here! I just picked up a clean 2011 Outback Limited! I really want to upgrade to 235/65/17 AT tires, and add a 1" lift spacers at the same time. I can already tell the tires would hit the front of the wheel well if I simply added the lift. My question is...has anyone made subframe and trailing arm spacers themselves? It seems outrageously overpriced for what they are (hunks of metal with a hole drilled.) My idea is to get some round stock cut into 1" pucks and drill a hole through it, and do the same with square stock for the two trailing arm mounts. This should keep my wheel in its normal location AND give me the 1" lift. Anyone try this before?

Go for it. The locations you are talking about are all fairly simple as you said.

Thank you...just wanted to make sure I wasn’t missing something. Hardest part will be finding the proper length bolts since the sub frame bolts are already pretty long to begin with!
Ace Hardware for local brick and mortar.

Fastenal or McMaster Carr for online shopping online.
