Ive had my 2012 Outback 2.5I Limited since August and I started to notice a tick tick tick tick noise coming the the engine compartment once the vehicle is turned off. Does anyone know what causes this and or if it is normal?

Did someone leave a watch under the hood?

Seriously, it might be the cooling of hot metal that makes a ticking sound or the fuel pump pushing fuel from the engine through the return line (back to the tank).

it is most likely your oil dripping back down to the oil pan

Exhaust components shrinking as they cool. Completely normal.
