2013 all weather package: how do i turn heated mirrors/windshield wiper area on?

I have no idea. It's not in the manual insofar as I can tell.

will the mirror icon light up when the defrost is on (as the blind-spot warning lights up)?
a service guy told be the light will not go on, but the mirrors will get warm.
I'm not feeling any warmth or seeing the icon light up, so I think my system is faulty.
