Subaru of America, which has 600 U.S. dealers and is based in Cherry Hill, N.J., is owned by Fuji Heavy Industries Ltd. of Japan. Assembly of some Subaru models, including the popular Outback, is done in Lafayette, Ind., while other models, including the 5-passenger Forester SUV and the Impreza, are produced in Japan.
Three other models recorded double-digit gains last month: the Legacy sedan, the Outback wagon and the rally-inspired Impreza WRX. Declines were posted for the Forester, which has been redesigned for the upcoming 2014 model, and the Tribeca, a seven-seat SUV
