Hello all,

My cousin asked me today if I could add a new headunit with apple carplay to his car and maybe also add remote start (automatic transmission). I found a remote start kit online but it seems to be sold out indefinitely. I figured I'd come here and ask for recommendations.

Can I put in a newer Subaru head unit that has car play? If not I'll probably add an alpine unit.

What are my options as far as remote start goes? I don't think his car has a push button start. I guess I could add one though. I appreciate all advice and recommendations on this front.

Thanks for the help!

You cannot add a newer Subaru radio with Carplay to an older model. You'll need to buy an aftermarket radio.

Thanks for the help. I've decided on a kenwood unit. Do you know of a good way of getting to the handbrake signal cable?
