Can a used Map SD for 2016 Outback Limited with Eyesight, Star link, nav be updated to update 3, skiping update 1 and 2 ? Purchased Outback used, did not know to check for SD first. An older SD card may have original maps and no updates. Do not want to buy used SD (maps), then spend $351.00 to get latest updates. Anyone familiar with this?

Hey welcome to the forum. Did you call Subaru to see if updates are cumulative or not? Did you call a dealer to see what it would cost to get the HU updated to the latest and greatest?

Do you have a working contact number that is not in parts department?
Had no SD card in outback purchased. Have to spend 393 dollars in order to get one SD card, according to Subaru and then spend 351 dollars to update it. Have checked over 170 times anywhere-everywhere. This is a 170+ search over a week (I am retired). Apparently Ebay SD's (used) do not work if removed from one vehicle (totaled) to another working Subaru (2016 Outback). If you buy a used Outback..buy a Garmin...anything! Its cheaper.

All Outbacks will get old. Nav is for original owners. Not those who buy used. Buy a portable GPS device.
Some are sold as wrist watch.
