The crossbars from both Yakima and Thule are like $500+. I mean, these things don't cost too much to manufacture really. Tons of shared parts across their lines. Any reasonable cheaper alternatives or places better than Ebay to pick up used examples? Not sure what the premium is that I'm paying for here.

EDIT: Not really the rails I guess. Talking about the cross bars and feet.

You can get new ones online for less than $400 including shipping from a number of Subaru dealers or parts warehouses. While that's not cheap, it is on par with pretty much any crossbar & foot set from Yakima, Thule, or Rhino, for any car. This is one of those weird cases when you can get a better price from a Subaru dealer than from other resellers (or direct from Thule).
