Just saw this and was going to post the same. The main thing I am getting from it is that I hope they do an infotainment update that puts the seat heater/HVAC controls for 2020-2022 in the same setup as the one pictured.

Offering the 2.5 on the Onyx trim seems like an interesting choice. Curious to say what the take rate is on that.

Based on looks alone I think it's a pass.
Automatic emergency steering? That's sure to make the nanny-car haters go off the deep end.
Digital rear view mirror?? How are you supposed to look in the mirror and see what the rug rats are up to in the back seat?

Interesting. I wonder if wireless Carplay and interface improvements will be software updates for the 2020-2022 models? I suspect many of the changes are hardware.

The mirror is probly only on the touring or an option. But the the fenders I don't understand at all. NM the fog light change. I am thinking I should get spare ones for my 2021. In case I can't get replacements in 10 years.

My bad! I jumped the gun and didn't realize it was not the Wilderness..............................
Easy to do when they stole the fender arches and fog light design from the Wilderness. Articles read that Wilderness trim will be unchanged for 2023.

No thanks, much prefer the look of my 2021! The bigger grille is cool but those black fender thingys are not my style. I do like the addition of the rear camera and digital rear view mirror, not sure why this wasn't already included on Touring models like the Ascent. It has come in handy on our ascent but I've been getting by just fine without it in the OB.

Still no real exhaust exits which I didn't expect. I will be properly miffed if they add anything like SI drive or the gauge cluster screen boost gauge for turbo models.

I'm guess some will like the new front fender cladding and others won't.

Count me as one who won't. Fugly. I was going to get the 2023 Outback but now I might not.
Agreed, I will wait to see what they do with the 25 MY..... I like the japan spec outback with the 1.8T with SI drive and other options like rain-sensing wipers etc they don't seem to offer in US. With gas prices climbing I was hoping the 1.8 T would show up sooner....not going to buy another OB till they bring the 1.8T and fix AA full screen or go with a widescreen display like the Solteras Toyota clone.

I agree and I am hoping they bring the wireless functionality as well to help fix all these issues with cables. And I sure hope they will surprise with a full screen AA ... I hope those seat heater buttons are a one touch

I think the mean and angry look is de rigueur and Subaru does not want to be left behind. Prob they were advised it's a better look to go more butch than to go kinder and gentler.

And it has to keep up with sibling Wilderness. This means next wilderness will need to have the full-on military assault vehicle look.

At one time I thought maybe Wilderness could branch off into a seoarate model, leaving OB to be developed as competition for the likes of AWD Audi and Volvos. Guess not and Subaru is sticking with the "practical, rugged" vibe.

Maybe we also need some visual juice to detract from the fact that we don't (even) have an OB hybrid yet, and to make the OB look a little like Solterra. Solterra is prob the next gen OB anyway. :)
