Hey guys,

So I found a absolute killer deal on rims with 235/55/R17 tires (brand new too). Just wondering if the switch to this size from the stocks will affect my driving/mileage at all? Really like the look of these rims.

You will lose some acceleration due to the larger diameter.

Speedo & odo will read a hair low, but your cruise RPMs will be slightly lower.

Gas mileage is kind of a toss-up: The extra rubber generally costs some MPG, but the reduced RPMs may earn it back. Might be a wash.

Check the offset on the new wheels- you may have clearance issues against the front strut assembly, and if it's really off it might cause accelerated wheel bearing wear or funny handling.

The things we do for fashion...
