This week I will be having the car's rear suspension rebuilt, to get shut of a broken spring and a collapsed strut. My wrench-twiddler's got a nice new set of KYB struts and RalliTek springs to stuff up Wanderlust's rear end, coupled with the 2" ADF lift kit already in place...

Time for some new ballet slippers, I think, for this coming summer's highway work and trail-crawling. But the Question du Jour is what size....

Anyone try running a 215/70-16 all-terrain tire on a '00-'04 Outback with a 2" lift? Or do I need to drop back to the pretty-much-identical-to-OEM-size 215/65-16 tires?

ObNothing: No one but no one makes a decent AT tire in the OEM 225/60-16 size. Debating between K02s (of course), GO15s (also of course), Cooper Discoverers, and Falken WildPeaks.....

But for now, let's please limit the discussion to what size fits.

(Very disappointed that Conti doesn't make the TerrainContact in a small enough size for a gen2.)
