just last week i opened a case w soa regarding this issue w my'11 3.6 after taking to dealer to have it reflashed 3 times to no avail. soa said there is no fix for this issue if the reflash didnt work and offered an extended (7 yr/100,000) warranty or $1000 toward trading mine in on new outback.


i think its CRAP. a car north of 30k shoukd shift like a dream. especiall since the technology in this tranny is ancient. im pretty disappointed.

Ive had the ECM reflash twice. Better but nowhere near OK. Writing another email to SOA as we speak.

SOA agreed to give me a free 7yr/100,000 mile extended gold, zero deductible warranty for my troubles related to the sucky shifting 5at in my '11 3.6. they say it is working within normal parameters and will give years of great service. i DO appreciate the free warranty. but still wish it shifted like it should.
