hey all, i had a leak coming from my tranny cooling lines, and i made the mistake of not taking a photo of how the lines were before they were removed. my question is, can anyone tell me which line is the inlet, and which is the outlet on a 4eat in a 2001 legacy outback. i dont wanna hook anything up backwards before running the car again.

this is the part that i am talking about circled in red

The pipe that comes out of the case above the filter is the output TO the cooler (out FROM the transmission). The pipe that goes to the back of the transmission is the return FROM the cooler (in TO the transmission).

ok, i'm going to edit my post to state, front most is the trans output, and the rear most is the return to the trans.

no need to have bad info floating around.

say it with me now, five times:
rear return!
rear return!
rear return!
rear return!
