I may take the plunge for a new Outback next summer in time for the 2014's to be released. Since the current 4th Generation Outbacks have been out since 2010, at what point does Subaru typically do a major redesign on their vehicles, after 5 or 6 model years?

Thanks!

I'd expect the 5th gen to be out in 2015.

^ what he said. 5 year run is pretty standard on the OB/Legacy

If you're debating on waiting for the new gen, one thing to consider is that your 2014 will be the final run of the 4th gen with (hopefully) all the kinks and bugs worked out.

A 2015 will be a new model and prone to all those new model woes. I don't expect the 2015 to be a major overhaul like the 2010 was, but it's still going to be new.
