Hey Guys -
My brother has a 99 OBW with about 170,000 on it. The head gaskets were replaced at about 120K.
Just this last week, it started acting up. When its cold, and you first start it, it runs very very rough, and is waaaaay down on power. Once it warms up, and you turn it off and start it again, it runs perfectly fine. The check engine light did come on when this first happened. Tomorrow I am going to use my AccessPort from my WRX to pull the codes.
Any ideas what this problem could be? I've searched and read a bunch of threads, and I'm kinda leaning towards misfire, but I don't understand why it would go away after warming up and restarting.
Tomorrow I will pull the codes. I think we also might go ahead and replace the plugs and wires just because its about time to do them. If anybody has any insight or wisdom on this, I would very much appreciate it. Thanks!
