TO get the DVD video to show up you probably have to put the parking brake on. I have a '12 so this may not work but in general that's the only way an OEM unit will work. The track info may be found using a display button, or a button with TEXT under it like it's a secondary function of the button.

Just picked up a 2013 Outlback Limitied with NAV/DVD, a couple of questions
1) playing a DVD I have sound but no picture, vehicle is parked
2) How do I display Ipod tracks on the screen, manual references a TEXT button, I see no such button
