Bought an '08 Outback wagon- 2.5 non turbo. Changing Coil and removing what I used to call the Air Cleaner; The PCV connects to it. There's a white plastic piece-
looks like 3" PVC pipe- bouncing around in there. I can't open it and don't know what it's called. It's the starred part in the diagram. Any help?

Not sure if it has a name; it's not a separately available part. I believe it's used to direct/mix the flow of air through the box, as well as to/from the PVC system, so as to avoid/reduce noise. Can't easily be fixed. Probably best to find a good used airbox at a recycling yard.

Thanks. So the part that's supposed to redirect is the thing that's bouncing around. I thought about slicing it open at the seam and super gluing it after surgery, but a junk yard sounds like less trouble. I really appreciate your help.
