I just bought my first car today today I was so excited. Used of course. 2004 subaru forester X. Well I locked the doors(the power lock switch) and went inside, and realized I didn't have my drink. Went back to my car and went to unlock it with the key (I was given no fobs) and my alarm went off and I have no idea how to get my car started now. Can someone please help me on what I should do? The car dealership has no fobs. Is there a fuse I can take out?

If you turn the key on in the ignition that should disable the alarm, but of course you'll have to do that every time. Obviously the best solution is to get a fob.

On your model on/off 3 times quickly disables the alarm. Every time you lock the car is going to be the same. When you open the door the alarm will sound and you have to turn the car on/off again to turn it off.

You can get fob on eBay. Programming is easy.

How did the PO (previous owner) deal with no fob and the alarm?

I'd be careful about where I parked the car for the next several weeks. A "repo" might occur.
I'd read an article about used car sales scams to this effect. The title is forged so the buyer never really bought the car.
