Even OB owners and other Subie enthusiasts, we in the South are thinking about you. Prayers from Alabama for residents of the Norttheast. God bless.

Thanks! Right now there is more salt mix on the roads than snow :)
Will be checking out the roads up in CT this evening on my way home...should be fun:)
I'm sure they'll be fine.

This is Subie weather after all.

...With a chance of turning into Unimog weather, ski-doo weather or I'll-just-be-here-in-my-igloo weather.

Don't go out unless you have to.

Some folks have to have fun ;)
Hey thanks, stay safe

We should be ok. It's the light stuff, easy to move around. We filled buckets with water so I know we won't lose power now. He he, when we prep for it, the power stays on!
We Have a 7 ft snowblower so the snow is not an issue, just inconvenient. It's a long driveway though, I can get the car up to 45 mph with room to ease to a stop.

Thanks and enjoy the Powda!

I bought my OB because of the snow up here. I look forward to racin....er, driving carefully once we get some snow on the ground.
All the fun stuff is going to miss us. Here in South Western Pennsylvania all we've gotten so far is just a cold, cold rain. They said we might get a rain/snow mix this evening but no real accumulation is expected. Monday morning I have to travel to Jamestown, NY. Little worried about that.

Be careful Subarus and Subarettes.
Eastern PA. The rain just gave way to snow. Here we go!
In Massachusetts

At 4pm they imposed a $500.00 fine or a year in jail for driving on the roads. Few exceptions like safety, medical and road maintenance.

Last time this level was signed was the blizzard of 78 when as much as 45" fell over a few days.

I recall a rescue back then on snowmobiles as wheeled vehicles did not work. We walked for several weeks until bulldozers opened the roads. Yup,and it was all uphill! Lol
I'll admit I'm a bit envious. I'd like a good snowfall on my side of WV.

Be safe and take some good pics so those of us just getting the cold cold rain can live vicariously.

My libertarian views don't like that ban one bit. At the most, it should have been limited to the areas that will get 3 feet of snow and horrible winds (or a 4WD/AWD only/snow tires required sort of thing like they do in the big mountains out West)...and even then, it seems awfully "1984ish" to me. On this side of the state, it's really not supposed to be a whole lot worse than any other good sized storm. I drove home from work at 4:30 and there were still plenty of people out.
we are getting pounded right now...about 3-4 inches an hour. Winds are strong and snow drifts will be epic. bring it!
A foot of blower pow down so far and another 7/8 tonite , it s gonna be awesome downhill skiing this weekend. We gone !!!!
Snowstorm

Supposed to give you folks 3"-4"/hr. all night. May not even recognize your own car in the morning if you park outside! And jp1203, libertarian or whatever, unless you have a 'dozer blade on your OB you might as well stay home. Admittedly, I do not live where large amounts of snow occur, but I believe common sense to be a universal concept. Just hope that you guys keep your electricity!
well folks just went by on skis being towed by a quad. We are a dead end street. Love this weather.
Does the state have enough resources to get to residential streets as well as thoroughfares?

not sure about state, but my town does a pretty good job with plowing. saw 5 plows roll through the past 2 hours. Town next to mine blows when it comes to plowing. so i guess it depends.
That's cool. But is there anywhere to go? It's good for emergency personnel: ambulances and fire trucks, etc. I'm pretty sure all snow looks the same! lol
