I thought 2GB RAM was slow response. How much RAM do I need to get smooth experience?
Also, do you know if front/rear cameras recording work well? I probably need SD card for that? Those Android units don't seem to have SD card slot.

Would it make sense to just buy a stand for Apple / Android tablet and put it there myself? Perhaps there are some ways on how to integrate things (steering wheel buttons / radio / microphone / control of car systems) into standalone tablet?

@ChecksOut Go to a electronics store near you and try out all the tablets. Youll find ones with 4gb will also have older cpu's and wont be that responsive, especially once you start using navigation and playing music. At least for me personally. You may find that 4gb would be sufficient for yourself.
