Hi, I am new to this forum. Just bought an outback 2006 recently. It has 120,000KM on clock (in Australia).
Here is the thing I am confused. The maintenance schedule suggest a timing belt replacement service at 125,000km in Australia. The same model in US scheduled to be at 105,000 miles. Does anyone know if there is any difference for the same car but sold different countries? I imaging it is the same;)
However I am getting ready for a timing belt service soon. Will it be ok to buy parts sold in the online stores in US (are they compatible to Australian models)?

Maybe you can find your answer here:

That is a Subaru Parts catalog. It's not perfect (Many of the ROW vehicle options aren't listed), but you should find so info to help.

Edit. According to that catalog, the timing belts are different part numbers for the Euro and USA engines.

USA: 13028AA21B

Europe: 13028AA230

There isn't an Australian option in that catalog. I have no idea if it the same as the Euro, or if it is it's own model.

Thanks for the hint. It does show on that website having different part number. Looks like more research job for me to dig out the right parts for Australian model.
