I know this is old school but car theft has been increasing near my area, so just trying to get the thieves to move on to a easier target.,

Anyone has experience with a particular ones that fits our steering wheels?

I wouldn't bother. They can be torn off by sheer force within seconds if you're determined enough.

If they want the car, they'll get it no matter what you do.

If you have keyless entry, get in to the habit of turning off the key fob when not in use. Fob that is off does not transmit, thwarting relay attacks. Also helps with battery life.

Waste of money. It’s like using “The Club” lololol. Anyone remember that nonsense?

I don't, but I park in an attached one-car garage at home and I work on a badge-access office campus.
Parking in NYC means wheel lock nuts AND The Club. I've had the same Club since 1995 and a Dodge Neon (shudder). If you've seen ANY of those silly Repo shows and YT vids, If they really, really want your car, it's gone. Which is why you avoid "end spaces" of any kind if you can. I do have a garage I rent, but I still need on street parking occasionally, so any thing to deter or slow down a potential thief is a good thing.

Speaking of the CLUB, because of the rash of thefts with Kia/Hyundai, the respective car companies are giving them out to be used on their cars. Also, our local transit service in Atlanta, MARTA, is giving them out for free to owners of those cars too. But the Clubs do work in slowing down the thieves or deterring them, and they move on to another vehicle. It boggles the mind that one has to go back to old school to stop the thefts, up to and including installing a hidden kill switch.
I would get the brightest colored Club I could. Anything that will make a thief move on to the next car is good. Like others have said if they come with your car as a target they are gonna get it.

The Club can defeated with keyboard cleaner. That is why they went out of style in the early 2000's

I used The Club when I had my '97 ragtop Jeep Wrangler.

I would not have after market rims without this and glad I bought.
How does the black finish hold up to sockets and lug wrenches? I would like to put them on my Onyx.
Both of my vehicles came with them. On the plus side, it can prevent a thief from stealing the wheels and tires. On the negative side and I learned this the hard way, when one needs to change a tire, remembering where the wheel lock key is. I had a flat with my Outback on ice and I forgot where I put the key so I had to walk back home and grab my secondary vehicle at the time and go to the dealership to see if they would loan me their spare wheel lock keys, which they did. There are roughly 12-15 different designs for the wheel lock keys so trying to figure out which one worked was a headache.

Nowadays, my OEM wheels on my Outback have my snow tires if I truly need them. The Legacy still has its OEM wheels and I put the key in a specific spot.

Agreed, which is why we have a club, until I get an OBDC port lock, I expect it to stay in use for slowing down.

Given the use of OBDC use in theft....

Ironically the OBW2022 came with rim locks, but they were not installed, though once we got Winters tires and switched back to the original rims/tires last month, the dealer did install them then. As to how they stand up, haven't tried taking them off yet, maybe this weekend or next.
These wheel locks are worthless....maybe they will deter a few thieves, but they are super simple to get off. Several years ago, I misplaced the key....my local mechanic was able to get them off in seconds.

They hold up well, been through 2 sets of tires and 2 rotations and @Discount Tire has been very courteous to them.
Good lacquer coating

Oh steering wheel locks? Thought you meant wheel locks.

Had wheel locks on my 2003 WRX wagon but they stole the whole car. My friend with a 2002 WRX sedan had his car stolen with a club on it. After it was recovered he picked it up and was driving it with the Club still on it and HE got pulled over!

My friend ended up getting some kind of shifter lock. They attempted to steal his car over a dozen more times but they were unsuccessful. My car was recovered over a week later and I traded it for the FXT after it was repaired.

My FXT had several layers of security. LoJack and an alarm with anti-car jacking tech. If the door was opened while the car was running, you had so many seconds to enter a code. If you didn’t, the car disabled itself and set off the alarm. It also had a kill switch. The anti-carjacking alarm worked because I forgot to enter the code a few times.:ROFLMAO:
