Subaru Owners Poll: Do you have a dog?

This came up in a dog thread that was just bumped from last year and it piqued my interest: it seems like Subaru's marketing focuses a lot on dog owners: Subaru Dog Tested, Dog Approved | Subaru of America

I'm wondering how many Subaru owners on this forum fill that criteria - do you drive a Subaru and have a dog?

I am a dog owner, 2 lab mixes.. In addition to the daily grind, I use my wagon to haul dogs and gear to our cabin several times a year. The lady I bought it from hauled her dogs (labs) in it as well. It is a hassle keeping it clean, I wish it had rubberized "carpet" like the Ford Sport Trac's.

Edit: I guess they thought they were going to pilot/navigate the next leg of the trip.

My local dealership alows dogs and has Animal Allies adoption drives regularly.

^ Now that you mention it one of the dealerships I was shopping at also had an animal fundraiser there the following weekend. I guess SoA knows their customer..but at least the animals make out well too!

But, Of course. Isn't it a prerequisit to have dogs? This poll gives me one more chance to plead with SOA to include pop-out rear quarter windows for the dogs. The air can get pretty stale back there with two big dogs. Even my lossleader/stripper 2000 Dodge minivan had them. Come on SOA throw me a bone. A.P. nice carrier(and the dogs aren't bad either) Looks custom?

+1 The dog is happier in my land cruiser with the sliding rear windows than she is in the OB. I am happier in the OB when I fill up (half as often and half as much gas when I do).

...that's what I was thinking...have a subaru...must have dog(s)...lol.

Yes we have dogs. I can't really say we own them since in reality I think they own us. They don't work and just sleep and play at home all day while we work to support them...who owns who?

The rescue organization where we got our dog participates in Subaru adoption events. Our pup is always up for a car ride whether it's a quick trip to the store (she gets to belted in on the back seat) or curling up in her carrier in the back when we visit my in laws.

I voted no. My parents have a collie who I'm convinced is evil but I don't have a dog myself. I'm not really a big animal person.

The thread is clearly a poll posted with a question for Subaru owners - but I can't force people to click a thread.

It's not like the results of this poll will be used for anything.

I have a dog, but he doesn't ride in the car except once a year when we go to the vet.
