I have the engine out, and have separated the trans from the trans-axle. Trans is still in the car.

I'm assuming I need to pull a few more bolts, but would like to confirm which ones need to come out.
Does the dif gear need to be removed? Or just the nuts/bolts on the lower half.

Reason for doing this is that the pump shaft was misaligned when I went to re-install the engine after a HG job.
I want to verify the pump didn't end up being damaged.

thanks,
jason

You have to remove the roller bearing mount then separate the pump housing, but don't lose the thrust washers. Remove the oil seal retainer. Take out the o-ring from the housing. Then you can remove the pinion.
