Ok automatic transmission, no fwd fuse in the slot. No binding noise in tight turns. We lifted the car up and revved it out and the back wheels will slightly turn(along with the driveshaft), but can be held still by hand. There is a wooing/whirring noise under the rear seats while driving too. What do you think I should do to get the awd to work???? Thanks in advance

I own 4 Subarus. A 95,97,02 and a 14. The first two are 2.2 and the last two 2.5.

At the rear end of your transmission, there is a transfer case that controls the power to the rear wheels. There are probably a few reasons why you are not getting power to the rear wheels, but the most likely given your description is that the hub [I think it's called that] has sheared off from the output shaft from the transmission. It's only welded on to the shaft.

The following is a neat DIY of a guy fixing this problem.
