I have a 2002 Outback H6.
The original battery was replaced by Subaru in 2009.
The existing Subaru brand battery has top terminals and measures approx:
L8.75 x W6.75 x H7.75.
The owners manual, page 12-4, states "Battery type and capacity...75D23L"
I found a reference from the Battery standards people that says a 75 should be L 9 1/16" x W 7 1/16" x H 7 11/16"
Type 75 batteries seem, also, to have side mounted terminals.
The Walmart web site shows the EverStart MAXX-75N with the side mounted terminals.
My concern is whether the cables in the car would fit, and whether the terminals should be mounted at the front of the car (bumpers side) or the rear of the car (firewall side).
Anyone have any experience with this?
