2001 Outback. Anyone try to squeeze a bigger battery in by changing the washer jug?

Why would you want to put a physically bigger battery in? Depending on the reason for a battery change, there are ways to acheive your desired results with a replacement battery of virtually the same dimensions. If you want longer stereo runtime when the car is off, then a deep cycle battery could be fitted. If you want more CCA's, then you could get a battery with a higher CCA rating that is about the same size as the OEM.

also, 'Saugga doesn't get nearly cold enough to need a larger battery. . . . not even a block heater. . .
