I'm in need of an exhaust part for my '97 Legacy Outback 2.5.

The part that needs replacement is the rear cat. It sits right behind the front cat and looks like this:

Almost every brand that I've looked at costs around $250; but, I found a Bosal brand part that's about $100 cheaper. I'm all for saving money, but the difference in price makes me wonder about the quality of Bosal parts. I don't want to install it and have it fail on me 6 months down the road. I'd rather pay $250 and get a good product.

Is anybody familiar with this brand?

Thanks

I used bosal for the cat-back on my 4runner. I got it from Rockauto. The quality is better than the cheap stuff you get from local parts places, but it isn't top-line either. Its been on my truck for 1-2 years at this point, with no real issues. Cats are a whole other story though. Find out what the warranty is on them first.
